Fleet

Catalina currently operates four aircraft including our latest addition, a 2009 Hawker 900XP. We maintain our aircraft to exceed all standards set forth by the Federal Aviation Administration and to the highest standards in our industry. We refurbish our aircraft interiors approximately every five years, and regularly deep clean both the interior and exterior surfaces. We stock our aircraft with a wide variety of fine spirits, bottled waters, canned sodas, and light snacks, and are pleased to offer any special foods and drinks upon request.

We take pride in keeping our aircraft current in all the ways that you might not even notice, but should be happy to know about. This includes updating our flight decks with state of the art navigation and safety equipment that allows us to fly precision departures and arrivals into terminal airspace, saving you valuable time and money. Both of our turbine aircraft feature glass cockpit technology, and our piston features a color moving map global positioning system. Please take a look at each of our aircraft to see specific installed equipment. If you don’t know what something is, call and ask us. We’ll be happy to explain how our aircraft are among the best in the skies.

Learjet 31a, N127VL

Quite possibly no other jet captures private aviation quite like a Lear. Our modern 31a is the most updated version of the 30 series Learjets, replacing the extremely popular model 35. Improvements over the previous model Lears include winglets and delta fins for added high-altitude performance and stability, a glass cockpit, single point refueling, and enhanced safety features. It is certified to fly at 51,000 feet (commercial airliners typically fly at 31-35,000 feet), above almost all weather and turbulence. Our Lear is capable of seating up to eight. For flights lasting over one hour, we recommend a passenger load of no more than six. It is a luxuriously appointed “light” category turbine aircraft with a range of approximately 1,200 nautical miles. It is an extremely popular choice for Miami to New York flights.
